Calendar

The Calendar screen offers an interactive representation of the case calendar events scheduled within a specific court. Court calendar access is only available upon request and at the approval of the court responsible for the calendar's maintenance.

Requesting Access to a Court Calendar

Within the Calendar screen, the Manage Calendar Access icon Manage Calendar Access icon allows PACFile-registered users to request access to a calendar. Requests are not granted routinely and are often limited to individuals who have an ongoing need for case calendar information.

After clicking the Manage Calendar Access icon Manage Calendar Access icon, the following steps can be completed to submit a request:

1. 

In the Manage Calendar Access screen, verify that the Court Type defaults to Court of Common Pleas or select it from the dropdown.

2. 

Click on the Judicial District dropdown and select the county or counties (i.e. joint judicial district) that maintains the calendar you want to view.

3. 

Click on the Calendar dropdown and select one of the available calendars for the selected judicial district.

4. 

Click the SUBMIT button.

Requests are sent electronically to the selected court office and must be approved before you can view the contents of the corresponding calendar. You will receive a User Action Required notification when the court responds to your request.

 

 

Viewing a Calendar

After being granted access to a court calendar, the calendar grid appearing on this screen populates based on the selection of a calendar name and a primary person. The Calendar dropdown includes the names of all the calendars for which you have access. Upon the selection of a calendar, the Primary Person dropdown populates with a list of applicable presiding authorities, usually judges. Due to the vast amount of cases that can be associated to any one calendar, the ability to display case calendar events must be limited to those associated with a selected presiding authority.

For each applicable day, case calendar events are grouped and displayed by a common event type. Clicking on any of the event types in the calendar displays the Calendar Entry Details screen and shows all the individual calendar events scheduled including the docket number for each case and the name of the primary participant. Calendar events related to secure cases may show redacted participant information. Clicking on the View Case Details icon for a row in the grid transfers you to the Case Details screen for the corresponding case. This function may not be available depending on the security assigned to a case (ex. sealed, confidential participant, etc.) The View Report icon View Calendar Report icon provides a formatted and printable version of the Calendar Entry Details screen.

Features of the Calendar

Forward and Backward Arrows

Allows you to navigate forward or backward at the rate of the selected time interval (Month or Week).

Month and Week views

Allows you to change the orientation of the calendar using the Monthly View or Weekly View icons. When selected, the calendar defaults to the current month or week.

Today icon

Allows you to return the calendar to the current date regardless of the selected time interval.

Favorit icon

Sets the selected Calendar and Primary Person dropdown fields above the calendar as favorites. Once clicked, the star in the icon changes from white to yellow. Each time you access the calendar, the selected favorite combination displays by default. To change the favorite, select new values in the Calendar and Primary Person dropdown and click the icon again.
